I was just interviewed by the Pensacola News Journal and the story is running in the Sunday paper! How's that?!!!!

ok, so the story is that a couple of weeks ago a lady from USA Today contacted me through my sewing website, www.headcoverings.com. She wanted to do an article on headcoverings and the history of it an all, so she quoted me in her article....here...

http://www.usatoday.com/news/religion/2006-10-04-covering_x.htm

Well, an editor from PNJ saw that a Pensacola girl had been quoted in USA Today and they wanted to do an article on my business....of course everything with the Amish going on has really sparked a lot of interest anyway....so, I interviewed with a reporter yesterday and they took like a hundred pictures and it's supposed to run in Sunday's paper....so!

I will instruct you and teach you
in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.

Do not be like the horse or like the mule,
Which have no understanding,
Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle,
Else they will not come near you.

Psalm 32:6-9 KJV

I'm in a thoughtful mood.....been house/dog-sitting for my brother and it's been nice to go over there nites, just to peace and quiet. God has been speaking SO LOUDLY to me about the house and drawing close to him, though, he's been keeping quiet about other issues that I wish he would talk to me about. A lot of changes are coming up and a lot of hard work to be done. Not everyone in my life understands how hard I and my family work. I don't understand how a person can work a 5-6day 9-5 job....just one job...it would bore me out of my mind. I guess I have ADD. I miss all my kids, but I can't believe how fast the summer has flown! God is my best friend and I do love him so much! To all my peeps, stay close to Jesus!!!!

It's been a few years now since I've heard a pastor/youth pastor to preach about something like this, but I'm gonna step out on a limb and since myspace is one of the most widely accessed form that I can speak to, please don't be offended, but I've got a burden, and I don't hear anyone speaking against this sin that Paul reitereated over, and over, and over again in his epistles. Just recently I've learned of about 6+ of my "older" (as in 20-30yr old) friends that were once known for their passion for the Lord to purposely partake in sexual imorality. There's a passage in Hebrews that unfortunately God's children don't read as statistics are that only 80% of church goers have a daily quiet time with the Lord. So, if this doesn't put the fear of the Lord in your life....then you need to take a step back and reassess your relationship with the Lord.

Hebrews 6:1-8
1Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3And this we will do if God permits. 4For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame. 7For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; 8but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

Now we know through learning about the character of the Lord that there is no sin to evil to keep you away from HIS love and forgiveness. We also know that as Jesus ministered here on earth, he always said, "Go, and sin no more" or, "Your sins are forgiven you, go your way." So my cry for you, my friend, is to pick yourself up, repent of your sin, and run back to Jesus loving arms.

The sin that you're partaking in will only destroy you and though even the Scripture says the sin may be enjoyable for a time, the consequences last a life time. Is it really worth it?

My friend, I have a question for you....How MUCH do you love Jesus?.....you say with all your heart, but your life screams a different answer. My cry to you is, "Come back to the Father! He loves you more than you'll ever know and more than you can ever imagine. He has amazing plans for your life! and he PROMISES a blessed life for your faithfulness. "

Those of you that are in rebellion to your parents authority in your life over a boy/girl or friendships that you have no business in, you're only storing away consequences that the Scripture promises will come back to crush you. Trust me, I've been on both sides of that fence and no matter how old you are and how much you think you should be able to make your own decisions, you're not half as wise as they are, nor experienced. I plead with you, before it's too late for you to turn around.....go back and read Hebrews 6 again, then think of the Passion of the Christ.....if that doesn't bring you to your knees, then my friend, please don't call yourself a son of God and please don't "minister" in your church. You'll only lead others with you down a path of sin.
